Build a Solid Foundation in Drawing with Classical Techniques.
In the course, you will learn many basic drawing techniques: how to build and understand form, proportions, spatial awareness, apply perspective principles, achieve balance in composition, etc.
Who should take this course?
● Beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of classical drawing
● Artists who want to improve their skills in form, proportion, and composition
● Anyone interested in exploring realistic drawing techniques
The course is for you:
- You love to draw and want to understand the basic and fundamental knowledge of classic drawing.
- You want to explore the forms and shapes, shadows and light, and how to draw natural realistic subjects.
- You want to understand the meaning of construction, perspective, and face proportion.
- You want to learn to highlight and extract the main in the drawing. To find the right composition.
- You want to learn how to create depth and use the tone in your drawing.
Teaching method:
There will be 4 main blocks:
1. Drawing basic Geometrical forms, working with construction and tone.
2. Drawing still life, working with construction, proportion, and composition.
3. Studying and drawing the human head, explore proportion and volume.
4. Drawing the portrait.
The lessons include various exercises and structured tasks to ensure the material is easy to understand and remember. Individual guidance will be provided to each student.
Materials you need to bring:
● Pencils of different softness (H, B, 2B, 4B, 6B)
● Good quality drawing paper
● Eraser. Kneading rubber (optional)
● Hobby knife
We have chairs, workstations, and easels in the workshop. You can store your drawing equipment and drawings at the school.
Please note: discounts for students, pensioners and unemployed are only available for residents of Copenhagen Municipality proper, and we are required to obtain documentation for your status.

Lilia Liutko
Lilia Liutko is an experienced teacher and active participant in international art festivals and exhibitions. She works preferably with figurative art, architecture and experiments with art installations. Educated at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv.
